Last year I had the pleasure of seeing The Play That Goes Wrong and what a fun show that turned out to be! 

I've got a double pass to give away to see the show while it's in Melbourne, read on to find out how you could win it!





Following hot on the wobbly heels of TPTGW, Mischief Theatre brings its triumphant disaster Peter Pan Goes Wrong from London’s West End to Australia, stumbling into Melbourne on 19 December, then Brisbane from 30 January, Canberra from 6 February, Sydney from 13 February and Perth from 7 March.

Nominated for an Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, Peter Pan Goes Wrong turns the J.M. Barrie classic, Peter Pan, into ‘a joyous masterclass of physical comedy and general disaster’ (London Evening Standard). Once again, the much-loved members of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society battle against technical hitches, flying mishaps and cast disputes with hilarious and disastrous results. Will they ever make it to Neverland?

Leading the cast of incredibly talented actors is JAY LAGA’AIA. If you haven’t heard of Jay, do you live under a rock? He’s been in everything from The Lion King to Play School! Seven of the actors who had audiences in stitches in The Play That Goes Wrong – DARCY BROWN, FRANCINE CAIN, ADAM DUNN, LUKE JOSLIN, GEORGE KEMP, JORDAN PROSSER and TAMMY WELLER - have all been silly enough to sign on again with The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society where they will once more battle against technical hitches, flying mishaps and cast disputes on their way to Neverland with hilarious and disastrous results.

Also experiencing this theatrical mayhem for the first time will be CONNOR CRAWFORD who recently appeared in Assassins at the Hayes Theatre and Sydney Opera House and TEAGAN WOUTERS who starred as Nicola in the national tour of the musical Kinky Boots.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is co-written by Mischief Theatre company members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields and includes highly physical comedy packed with finely-tuned farce and Buster Keaton-inspired slapstick, all delivered with split-second timing.

Energetic and compelling new stage show Madiba the Musical - a Celebration of the Life of Nelson Mandela opens in Melbourne in October and will tour to Sydney, Canberra Perth and Adelaide

Madiba the Musical, which celebrates the life of the former South African leader, who would have turned 100 in July this year, is interwoven with stories of the fight against apartheid and forbiddenlove in a troubled land.

Playing the role of Nelson Mandela is Perci Moeketsi, a South African star of stage, television and film, who dared to dream the impossible, encouraged by Mandela’s own words: “It is impossible until it’s done”.

Perci joins Tim Omaji; Tarisai Vushe; Blake Erickson; Madeline Perrone; Barry Conrad; Ruva Ngwenya; David Denis along with Courtney Bell and Riley Sutton to star in this energetic and
compelling new stage show.

African dance and vocal traditions are given a contemporary setting alongside eternal love songs and stirring anthems in a show that tells of Mandela’s lifework as a lawyer and activist for peace through the story of young artist Will, who is the victim of apartheid in South Africa.

When the email for this giveaway landed in my inbox, I was excited. I love this show!


After a sell out season in Sydney, Cabaret is coming to Melbourne next month and we've got tickets to give away, read on to find out how you can win them!


I first saw it many years ago and without mentioning any names, some of the casting was questionable. Not this time around! This time we've got a cast that includes Chelsea Gibb, Paul Capsis, Marcus Graham, and John O'May!

Winner of 12 Tony Awards, 8 Academy Awards and 7 BAFTA Awards, Cabaret wows audiences and critics alike time and time again sky-rocketing the careers its starts. Fifty years ago in 1966 the original Broadway production made a household name of Joel Grey who shook audiences as The Emcee. Two years later an unassuming Judi Dench stole the show as Sally Bowles on London’s West End. Arguably the most iconic movie musical of all time made a star of Liza Minnelli when she brought Sally Bowles to the silver screen directed by Bob Fosse.

Cabaret The Musical is based on The Berlin Stories by famous author Christopher Isherwood who exchanged his upper-middle-class conservative upbringing for the sexual freedom and social liberation of Berlin during the bustling 1930s. Cabaret the musical, adapted by song and lyrics team Kander and Ebb, became a semibiographical portrait of Isherwood’s life, celebrating life on the edge.

Beneath the fun and games of Cabaret lies an ominous melody, providing a glimpse of vibrant Berlin’s dark undercurrents during the rise of Hitler. Cabaret walks the tightrope of pure entertainment and serious political consciousness and for this very reason the musical continues to allure audiences.

Giveaway! You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown - The Musical

You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown is a Broadway musical and it's coming to Melbourne this month, just in time for the school holidays!

Read on to find out how you can try and win tickets for your family to see it...

You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown was nominated for four Tony Awards in 1999, and it won two! It's a fun, fresh approach to an age old story about a Boy and his Beagle.

They've put together a pretty great cast for this. I've seen lots of these people in other things and Luigi in particular is amazing! Alongside Charlie Brown (Cameron MacDonald - Currently Georgy Girl) and Snoopy (Luigi Lucente - Rocky Horror Show, Jersey Boys) on stage are their pals Lucy (Courtney Glass-  Jekyll and Hyde) Schroeder (Joshua Robson - Les Miserables); Linus (Adam Porter - Scooby Doo Live and Yo Gabba Gabba) and Charlie’s sister, Sally (Sarah Morrison -recently seen as the lead in Ladies in Black at MTC)

It's showing at one of Melbourne's newest theatre for musicals, the Alex Theatre in St Kilda. I saw a show there last year and it's a lovely, intimate little theatre, I'm looking forward to seeing this show!  

And you can see it too! It's showing from June 21 until July 2nd which means it's on during the school holidays. Lots of the show times are during the day, so pack up your kids and head to St Kilda and make a day of it. May I suggest some fairy floss at Luna Park afterwards? It is just down the road from the theatre.
